Terms of Service

Last updated 21 April 2026

Welcome to Ninja Vote. These terms describe what you can do here, how we work together, and the rules everyone follows so the platform stays useful and respectful. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. About Ninja Vote

Ninja Vote is an opinion-polling platform operated by Advice Ninja. Anyone with a verified account can create polls (open or invite-only), browse polls others have created, vote on options, read and publish stories, and discover what the community thinks.

We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We'll do our best to give notice for changes that meaningfully affect how you use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country, and at least 13 years old in any case.
  • You can sign up with an email and password or sign in with a one-time email code. Email verification is required before you can create polls or vote.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password and email account secure. If you suspect your account has been used without permission, change your password and contact us.
  • One person, one account. Don't create accounts to evade voting limits, bans, or moderation actions.

3. Your content

Polls, options, descriptions, tags, images, stories, and any other material you submit are your “Content”. You keep ownership of your Content.

By posting Content to Ninja Vote, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. The licence ends when you delete the Content, except where we need to keep it briefly in backups or where it has already been shared by others.

You confirm that you have the rights to post the Content, including images, and that posting it does not break any law or third-party right.

4. Voting and polls

  • Each user can vote at most once per poll. Vote totals shown on the site are aggregate counts. Your individual choice is visible to you and to the poll's creator.
  • Open polls are visible on the discover feed and anyone signed in can vote on them.
  • Invite-only polls are restricted to the email addresses the creator lists.
  • Creators can mark a poll as complete at any time, or set an optional auto-close timer. Once a poll is completed, voting stops and final results are shown.
  • Don't use bots, scripts, fake accounts, or paid voting services to influence results. We reserve the right to discard votes we believe are inauthentic and to remove the polls or accounts behind them.

5. Acceptable use

The following are not allowed on Ninja Vote:

  • Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that promotes violence or discrimination against people on the basis of who they are.
  • Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights, or that you don't have the rights to share.
  • Sexual or explicit content, including sexually suggestive imagery. Ninja Vote is a general-audience platform.
  • Content that targets or exposes private individuals without their consent (doxxing, non-consensual personal information).
  • Spam, deceptive polls, scams, malware, phishing, or attempts to farm signups, votes, or invitations.
  • Misuse of the service to interfere with other users - e.g. brute-forcing accounts, abusing rate limits, scraping, or probing for vulnerabilities (responsible disclosure is welcome by email).
  • Impersonating other people, brands, or Ninja Vote staff.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We may remove Content, close polls, suspend accounts, or refuse service if we believe these terms have been broken or to protect the platform and its users. Where reasonable, we'll explain why. Severe or repeat violations may lead to permanent removal without notice.

To report Content, email pr@adviceninja.com.au with a link and a short description.

7. Stories

Selected creators may publish stories on Ninja Vote. Stories must follow the same acceptable-use rules as polls. We may edit, hide, or remove stories that don't meet our standards. You retain ownership of your story content under the licence in section 3.

8. Advertising

Businesses can purchase sponsored slots on the home page. Ads are clearly labelled and don't imply endorsement of poll results or stories. Advertisers must follow these terms and any additional advertising guidelines we publish. Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. By using Ninja Vote you agree to the practices described there.

10. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time. Deleting an account permanently removes your polls, options, votes, stories, and uploaded images. You may also stop using the service at any time without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

11. Disclaimers

Ninja Vote is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do our best to keep the service running, accurate, and secure, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that poll results represent any particular population. Polls reflect the opinions of the people who chose to vote - they aren't scientific surveys.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Advice Ninja and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of your use of Ninja Vote. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim, or AUD 100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

13. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the “Last updated” date above; for significant changes we may notify you by email. If you keep using Ninja Vote after the update, you accept the new terms. If you don't, stop using the service and delete your account.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service.
